SiIvaGunner is a YouTube parody channel that mimics the legitimate video game music uploader GilvaSunner by using a nearly identical name with a capital I replacing the L. Instead of uploading authentic game soundtracks, the channel posts bait-and-switch remixes that surprise viewers with unexpected mashups and soundclown edits.

Overview

SiIvaGunner is a YouTube channel that parodies legitimate video game soundtrack uploaders by posting deceptive bait-and-switch content. The channel name uses a capital I in place of the lowercase L, making it visually identical to GilvaSunner, a well-known game music ripper1. Videos are presented with authentic-looking thumbnails featuring official cover art, tricking viewers into expecting genuine OST tracks.

The actual content consists of remixed or altered versions of video game music, often incorporating soundclown editing techniques and unexpected mashups2. A running joke on the channel involves mixing songs with The Flintstones theme, a reference to Vinesauce Joel's bootleg Mario streams where he encountered the game "7 Grand Dad," which featured an 8-bit remix of "Meet The Flintstones"2. The channel's output is prolific, with uploads sometimes exceeding one video per hour.

The original GilvaSunner account began as SilvaGunner and gained popularity for uploading video game soundtracks before being terminated for copyright infringement1. A new channel under the name GilvaSunner was created on October 10th, 2010, but faced similar copyright issues2. The owner announced via Twitter that uploads would cease to prevent another takedown2.

On January 9th, 2016, the parody account GiIvaSunner was created2. The channel mirrored the original's visual style, including a similar profile picture and background image with slight alterations. The first upload was a bait-and-switch video claiming to be the Wild Pokémon Battle theme from Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire2. The channel was operated by a content creator known as Chaze The Chat, who led a small team of contributors making what they called "rips"3.

How It Spread

The parody channel quickly built an audience through its rapid upload schedule and consistent commitment to the bit. Videos accumulated hundreds of thousands of views as word spread among gaming and internet humor communities2. The channel's most popular video became a remix of "We Are Number One" from LazyTown, capitalizing on that song's broader meme status in late 20162.

On September 30th, 2016, a video titled "the nutshack theme but the first nutshack is replaced with me ending the channel" was posted, in which Chaze The Chat announced plans to end the channel while thanking team members and rip contributors3. However, the channel eventually returned and expanded its scope, later organizing community events like the King for a Day Tournament, where characters competed through themed music rips voted on by fans4.

The channel's naming convention later shifted from GiIvaSunner to SiIvaGunner, maintaining the same visual trick with the capital I. The community around the channel grew to include numerous contributors who submit their own deceptive remixes following the established format2.
