Jarvis Clip That is an image macro and catchphrase that pairs a still of Iron Man in his suit with gameplay highlights from Marvel Rivals, treating the Marvel AI assistant as a stream clipper. Starting on TikTok in December 2024, the format exploded alongside the hero shooter's launch window, with top videos passing two million plays within weeks2.

Overview

Jarvis Clip That builds on the older Jarvis Commands template, which treats Iron Man's fictional AI assistant as a personal helper for mundane or absurd tasks3. In this version, the ask is specifically to save a highlight-worthy gaming moment, usually from the Marvel-themed hero shooter Marvel Rivals, and the still image of Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man sits over or alongside the clip as a punchline card3.

A typical post opens on the Iron Man image with on-screen text reading "Jarvis clip that" or "Clip that Jarvis," then cuts to a Marvel Rivals play-of-the-game style moment, often a multi-kill or a flashy ultimate from the Iron Man hero itself1. The joke lands because streamer culture is full of players barking the same request at their editors or stream software, and swapping the editor for Marvel's AI assistant collapses that whole workflow into a single pop-culture gag3.

The earliest known use of the "Jarvis Clip That" catchphrase paired with the Iron Man image was posted on December 9, 2024, by TikTok user @darkchocomf41. That video combined the Iron Man still with a Marvel Rivals gameplay highlight, and within roughly two weeks it had drawn more than 732,000 plays and 75,000 likes on TikTok3.

Marvel Rivals had launched into open release on December 6, 2024, three days before the first post, which gave the format a fresh pool of gameplay footage and a hungry player base ready to share clips1. The underlying Jarvis Commands joke was already a recognized meme shape, so viewers understood the setup immediately once a creator slotted a hero-shooter highlight into it3.

How It Spread

After the December 9 post, TikTok users started remixing the catchphrase with their own Marvel Rivals clips through the back half of December 20243. On December 12, 2024, TikTok user @.lbiz posted a version pairing the Iron Man macro with gameplay highlights that drew more than 914,000 plays and 189,000 likes in two weeks2.

Six days later, on December 18, 2024, TikTok user @wetchief uploaded a clip of their own Iron Man gameplay in Marvel Rivals captioned "Clip that Jarvis," and that video pulled roughly 2.3 million plays and 492,000 likes in its first week4. Other players kept the format going through late December with their own hero highlights, including entries from @anwtan1711 and @paulaner_spezi88 that applied the same image-and-catchphrase structure to different Marvel Rivals matches56.
