Members also began mirroring popular services under the 'Noel' brand, spinning up Noelshack, Noelbook, Noelpedia, Noelfica and Noelswf as in-joke parodies of ImageShack, Facebook, Wikipedia, a fanfiction site and Pown it1.

In February 2008, underground French rapper Moha Morsay uploaded one of his songs to Dailymotion, and the video became a rallying point for Noeliste remix culture1. A user going by Doctor Léon emerged as an unofficial spearhead through his response videos on the same platform1. The wave of activity also included coordinated raids such as the Drawball incident, documented in a YouTube video of the takeover attempt2.
