Skibidi Rizz is a real American Thoroughbred racehorse whose Gen Alpha slang name, combining "skibidi" and "rizz," turned him into a viral internet joke in 2025. His race calls forced professional announcers to shout "Skibidi Rizz" during regulated events, and back-to-back Ohio wins fueled the running gag online.

Overview

Skibidi Rizz is an actual registered Thoroughbred racehorse whose name blends two Gen Alpha slang terms, "skibidi" and "rizz," into one absurd-sounding call for track announcers1. The chestnut gelding was foaled in 2022 and started racing in 2025, quickly becoming a cult favorite among racing fans and meme viewers who circulated clips of his race calls3.

Despite the joke name, the horse has real pedigree. He is by Nyquist, the 2016 Kentucky Derby winner, and out of the mare Sinwaan, whose sire is the influential stallion Into Mischief1. Ownership is credited to Clabar Mor Stables LLC and Haran Thoroughbreds LLC2.

Skibidi Rizz was foaled in 2022 under Clabar Mor Stables LLC and Haran Thoroughbreds LLC2. He first went viral in 2025 after a win at Horseshoe Indianapolis, when a clip of the race call spread across social media because the announcer had to shout "Skibidi Rizz" during a regulated race1. The name pulls from the "Skibidi Toilet" YouTube series and the slang term "rizz," short for charisma, both staples of Gen Alpha internet vocabulary3.

How It Spread

The horse picked up steam through summer 2025 with two wins at Thistledown Racecourse in North Randall, Ohio1. He beat Trouble Or Nothin on July 2 in a 1-mile claiming race, then took Race 4 there again on July 13 in a winning time of 1:42.16 under jockey Brandon Tapara for trainer Saul Morales1. Those results moved Skibidi Rizz to three wins from 19 career starts and a two-race Ohio streak that fans framed as an "Only in Ohio" bit1.

Fans of the mobile game Umamusume: Pretty Derby, which turns real racehorses into anime characters, started asking developers to add Skibidi Rizz as a playable unit after his winning run3. The horse also drew skeptical attention on Wikipedia, where editors nominated a dedicated article about him for deletion during a debate over his notability as a subject4.

How to Use This Meme

The joke usually centers on sharing race-call clips or screenshots where professional announcers must say "Skibidi Rizz" in a serious sports context. Typical posts pair the audio with captions about horse racing colliding with brainrot slang, often framed as an "Only in Ohio" or "Only in 2025" gag.
