Overview

Skibidi Toilet is a Source Filmmaker animated series by YouTuber DaFuq!?Boom! about an army of grinning toilets with men's heads inside them, fighting a war against humanoid CameraHeads1. The audio is a mashup of Timbaland's 'Give It To Me' and Biser King's 'Dom Dom Yes Yes,' and each installment drops as a short vertical YouTube video, usually well under a minute3.

The look is instant: a porcelain bowl, a smiling male face poking out the top, chanting 'skibidi dop dop yes yes' while camera-headed soldiers try to stop the invasion. Kids call it 'lore,' while adults on Twitter and Urban Dictionary have called it Gen Alpha's Slenderman24. What began as an obvious shitpost about a singing toilet turned into a running plotline with giant boss toilets, flying variants, and rival factions1.

DaFuq!?Boom! posted the first 'skibidi toilet' video on February 7th, 2023, a short Source Filmmaker clip where the camera pans to a toilet and a man's head pops out singing the 'Dom Dom Yes Yes' lyric1. The description simply read 'toilet in Ohio,' a nod to the Ohio memes already dominating YouTube Shorts at the time3. The debut pulled more than 37 million views in its first three months1. Three more episodes followed by mid-March 2023, introducing a giant Skibidi Toilet stomping through a city and flying variants chased by military vehicles1.

How It Spread

On March 29th, 2023, DaFuq!?Boom! uploaded a compilation bundling the first five episodes into a single video; that compilation cleared 38 million views in two months1. Between late March and late April, DaFuq!?Boom! released Seasons 2 and 3, introducing the CameraHeads and their war with the toilets; the Season 3 compilation alone hit over 108 million views in three weeks1. Seasons 4 through 8 dropped across May 2023, with each new batch of episodes uploaded within days of the last1.

The series crossed to TikTok on May 28th, 2023 when DaFuq!?Boom! opened the @defuqboomofficial account, which pulled 1.6 million followers in two months5. The bigger mainstream break came on July 9th, when Twitter user @AnimeSerbia posted, 'Went down a YouTube shorts algorithm rabbithole and found out what Gen Alphas slenderman is,' picking up over 31,000 likes in a week2. A follow-up quote-tweet the same day pushed the 'Gen Alpha's Slenderman' framing into wider circulation with another 15,200 likes2.

The series kept releasing at a rapid clip. By July 10th, 2023, DaFuq!?Boom! was 49 episodes deep and posting a Season 15 compilation1. By February 7th, 2024, Seasons 16 through 22 were all live on YouTube1, and the format had spawned fan art, remixes, and TikTok recreations well beyond the original channel3.

How to Use This Meme

Fan versions typically copy the SFM look: a porcelain toilet with a male face, the 'skibidi dop dop yes yes' audio, and some setting to drop the toilet into. Common conventions include a slow camera reveal, chorus lineups of multiple toilets, and CameraHead or Speakerhead characters as the opposition3. Text overlays often reference 'the lore' or number the clip like a fake episode.
