Togore Dreemurr is a fan-invented name for a hypothetical middle Dreemurr sibling in Undertale and Deltarune, formed by stitching 'Toriel' and 'Asgore' together the opposite way Asriel's name was made. The joke first appeared on r/Undertale in November 2015 and surged in July 2025, when a TikTok sprite edit presented him as a real third child of the Dreemurr family.

Overview

Posts about Togore Dreemurr lean into the idea that this is an uglier-sounding alternate name for Asriel, whose canon name takes 'As' from Asgore and 'riel' from Toriel while 'Togore' puts the halves in the opposite order1. The joke works both ways. Some fans say Togore was the name Toriel and Asgore almost picked, so Asriel got lucky2. Others insist Togore is a secret third Dreemurr sibling, with artists giving him a goofy, big-eyed goat-kid look8.

By mid-2025, a specific sprite design had locked in the character's visual identity, letting posters bluff that Togore was a hidden Deltarune character4. That sprite came from X artist @Chapsti99794854's work on the Roblox fan game Checho's Deltarune RP, not from Toby Fox himself5. Humor around Togore tends to run cute-but-mean, since the whole premise is that his name is bad6.

The earliest known Togore joke appeared on November 3rd, 2015, when Redditor u/Kuudayray posted a comic by the since-deleted Tumblr user flightpixel to r/Undertale1. In the comic, Asgore pitches 'Son' as a name for their child, which sets up the running Dreemurr naming gag. In the same comment thread, Redditor u/AwfulPunBasedName was first to float the alternative 'Togore,' using the same name-mashup rule that produced Asriel in canon6.

How It Spread

The gag stayed a recurring in-joke on r/Undertale for years. On August 3rd, 2022, u/ThePenguinsBill posted a Dramatic Crossroads version titled 'Could've been so much worse,' which collected over 6,300 upvotes over three years2.

Virality picked up in July 2025. On July 24th, X user @ashlynxirl posted 'Carol watching Toriel about to name Kris Togore bc Asriel is taken,' which reached over 34,000 likes in four days3. Two days later, TikToker @sunnygx4 posted a video presenting Togore as a real character using a pixel sprite, which hit over 119,000 views in three days4. The sprite was made by X artist @Chapsti99794854 for the Roblox fan game Checho's Deltarune RP5.

On July 27th, 2025, X user @fckthisdamnsite posted a dark joke about Togore as an aborted fetus returning via a Dark World, drawing over 2,500 likes in two days7. The same day, X user @Triki_Tr0y posted artwork captioned 'Togore the Dreemurr Middle Brother,' which reached over 31,000 likes in two days8.

How to Use This Meme

People use the Togore Dreemurr joke in two common ways. Dramatic Crossroads edits often imagine Toriel almost picking the worse name before being talked down2, while sprite-based posts present Togore as if he were a real hidden Deltarune character the viewer somehow missed4.
