Welcome to BP Brother, also known as BP Ronaldo, is a looksmaxxing TikTok catchphrase that spawned from a June 2026 comment edit pairing the line with a creepy Cristiano Ronaldo smile GIF. The phrase shortens 'Welcome to black pill, brother' and powered a wave of TikTok skits where men ironically welcome each other to romantic defeat.

Overview

Welcome to BP Brother, also called BP Ronaldo, is a looksmaxxing TikTok catchphrase welded to a short, uncanny edit of pro footballer Cristiano Ronaldo flashing a stretched smile2. In looksmaxxing circles, the 'black pill' names the fatalistic belief that physical attractiveness decides dating outcomes and life success, a worldview that grew out of incel-adjacent forums before spilling onto mainstream TikTok1.

The skit format usually opens with a man getting rejected, ghosted, or publicly humiliated, then cuts to another guy delivering 'Welcome to BP, brother' over the warped Ronaldo grin or an impression of it3. The original commenter, @jaidenanimationsgooner, defines the phrase in their profile bio as 'essentially a crashout,' giving creators a wide ironic lane rather than a strictly ideological one3. The meme is sometimes bundled with the adjacent 'raw milk + healthy = holy height' comment copypasta circulating in the same corner of TikTok3.

On June 22nd, 2026, TikToker @bubba4090 posted a screen-grab edit of a comment left by TikToker @jaidenanimationsgooner that read, 'Welcome to BP brother,' overlaid on a looping GIF of Cristiano Ronaldo smiling in a creepypasta style2. The clip pulled more than 453,000 views in its first week3.

'BP' here is short for 'black pill,' a term inherited from incel forums that migrated into looksmaxxing TikTok as the subculture grew around claims about jawlines, 'hunter eyes,' and canthal tilt1. @bubba4090 did not create the comment itself, but the pairing with the Ronaldo footage is what crystallized the catchphrase into a reusable format.

How It Spread

Within days of the original edit, the catchphrase jumped from a single screenshot into a reusable skit format on TikTok. On June 25th, 2026, @reeno_07 posted an early 'Welcome to BP' sketch that passed 312,000 views over five days4. By June 29th, @vexbolts uploaded a version where his own face warps into a Ronaldo-style grin at the punchline, pulling 278,000 views in a day5, while @hahahaskell0 ran the phrase under a flex video that hit 245,000 views in the same window6.

The copycats held a tight pattern: a dating or social L, followed by a jaded second character welcoming the loser to black pill thinking3. The humor leaned on the uncanny Ronaldo footage, which stood in for the 'you can't unsee it' shock the black pill is supposed to deliver, and most posts stayed inside looksmaxxing-adjacent TikTok rather than crossing to other platforms.

How to Use This Meme

A typical Welcome to BP Brother video opens on a scenario of romantic rejection, social embarrassment, or looks-based humiliation. The payoff is a second character delivering 'Welcome to BP, brother' over a Ronaldo-style distorted smile, either the original GIF or a self-shot impression of it5. Captions often repeat the exact phrase to tag the post into the trend6.
