X Grab My Y
Published October 8, 2026
In January 2009, DeviantART artist Angela Dunn posted a one-page comic where she yelled at a friend to grab her boobs before the pair rocketed into the sky under the word ADVENTURE. The simple two-panel setup turned into an exploitable template that spread across DeviantART, Tumblr and Reddit for years as fans swapped in their own characters and body parts.
Overview
X Grab My Y is an exploitable two-panel comic built around one character ordering another to grab a specific body part so the pair can blast off into the sky, usually trailed by a rainbow and a single shouted word like ADVENTURE2. The gag depends on the mismatch between the crude command in panel one and the giddy, triumphant lift-off in panel two, which is why fans swap in any pairing of friends, cartoon duos or fandom characters without changing the beats1.
The format is open enough that both halves of the title are variables: the X is whoever is being told to grab, and the Y is whatever body part the shouter wants grabbed. That slot-filling structure is what pushed it into the same lineage as other character-swap exploitables, and it is why search results for simple strings like "grab my boobs" or "grab my" on DeviantART return pages of derivative edits1.
