Chica Rizz is an animated clip of Chica from Five Nights at Freddy's acting out the Dawg Skull Emoji flirting bit, created by artist chipfunni on October 20, 2023. By early November, TikTokers were pairing the loop with the Kanye West track The New Workout Plan and captions about hitting on people in awkward settings.

Overview

Chica Rizz centers on a short animated loop in which Chica, the yellow chicken animatronic from Five Nights at Freddy's, slicks her hands back over her head and licks her beak while locking eyes with the camera1. The animation copies the beat-for-beat structure of the Dawg Skull Emoji clip of King Williams flipping her hair, so viewers familiar with that bit read Chica as attempting to flirt with, or rizz, whoever is watching2.

On TikTok, the clip almost always runs as an image macro with a text overlay on top of the animation. Captions tend to be ironic admissions, often about catching feelings for yourself in a mirror or trying to pull someone in a setting where it would be deeply inappropriate, and the audio is swapped between the Kanye West song The New Workout Plan and Taemin's The Rizzness34. Part of the joke is that an animatronic chicken from a horror game is doing the smoothest move on the For You page.

Scott Cawthon developed Five Nights at Freddy's and designed Chica as one of its original animatronics; the Chica Rizz format itself was created by artist chipfunni, who posted the animation to X/Twitter on October 20, 2023 set to a snippet of Kanye West's The New Workout Plan5. The original tweet, which pulled in several thousand likes before being deleted, directly referenced the Dawg Skull Emoji clip of King Williams1.

TikTok reposts with added captions started appearing nine days later. On October 29, 2023, @fishboy_45 uploaded the animation set to Jeremih's Oui with the overlay "Chica well you just be Chica," a nod to the together we are FNAF meme, and that version passed 1.2 million views within a week3.

How It Spread

Through late October and early November 2023, the loop took off on TikTok as creators swapped in their own audio and captions. On November 1, @izntwony posted a version that reached more than 1.1 million views in about a week, and on November 6, @2vezzp uploaded another cut that pulled over 2.6 million views in two days67.

The following day, November 7, @skeleboneonyt remixed the format by cutting Chica alongside the actual King Williams Dawg Skull Emoji source clip so viewers could see the side-by-side, and that post hit roughly 1.7 million views in a single day8. Across these edits, the two dominant sound choices stayed consistent: The New Workout Plan by Kanye West for the gym-coded jokes and The Rizzness by Taemin for the K-pop flavored ones1.

FNAF accounts and reaction creators kept recycling the animation through November with variations like @renesimpson6, @theyluvaiden_08, @mellys280, and @madfox919, cementing it as a go-to flirting reaction in the fandom910.
