Forgis I Put The New Forgis On The Jeep

"Forgis" is street slang for Forgiato Wheels, a custom wheel brand out of Los Angeles that became shorthand for rap-video wealth4. The full catchphrase, "I put the new forgis on the jeep," is a line from the 2019 Mustard track "Ballin" featuring Roddy Rich, which is where most listeners first encountered the phrase4. Urban Dictionary users later logged the line as its own entry, treating it as a standalone piece of internet slang5.

The meme itself is really the sped-up audio clip, not the song. On TikTok, the line is almost always the first thing viewers hear, and it drops over cartoon edits, character swaps, and reveal videos where the punchline lands on a sudden cut2. The pairing with the Axel in Harlem animation made the audio recognizable even to viewers who did not know the source track3.

The typical format layers the sped-up "forgis on the jeep" clip over a short video where something gets upgraded, swapped, or shown off. Common conventions include cartoon edits, character reveals, and SpongeBob Watching TV setups where the imaginary TV cuts to a punchline animation3. Creators often time the visual change to land right as the word "forgis" hits, so the audio and the reveal snap together2.
