Patrick Bateman On A Bike And Two Penguins Humping is a crude 3D animation of American Psycho's Patrick Bateman pedaling through Antarctica, passing two humping Madagascar penguins, then checking a Russian map before biking off. Uploaded by Russian TikToker priv_6573 in December 2022, it kicked off a TikTok trend of re-animations swapping the setting, animals, and vehicle.

Overview

Patrick Bateman On A Bike And Two Penguins Humping, sometimes called Patrick Bateman Bikes to Antarctica, is a rough 3D animation loop featuring Christian Bale's Patrick Bateman from American Psycho pedaling a bicycle across an icy Antarctic backdrop2. He passes two humping penguins lifted from the Madagascar films, glances at a Russian-language map reading "заказчик здесь" (translated from Russian: "the customer is here"), then keeps riding3. The top text jokes about Bateman being a courier who accidentally ended up at the wrong end of the planet.

The animation reworks a bit from Malcolm in the Middle where Reese Wilkerson bikes through a desert and consults a map at a fork in the road1. Its soundtrack is an Arabic-flavored rework of Mareux's "Perfect Girl," a track already tied to sigma male edits on TikTok3. The deadpan Bateman avatar, the humping cartoon penguins, and the abrupt map cut gave the clip a bizarre four-beat rhythm that video creators started copying almost immediately.

The format traces back to a November 22nd, 2022 TikTok from casey100100100 about fleeing to Afghanistan, which recycled the original Malcolm in the Middle desert scene from Season 6 Episode 1, "Reese Comes Home"4. That episode is where Reese bikes through a Middle Eastern desert and pauses at a fork in the road to check his map1. Casey paired the clip with a TikTok sound uploaded by user yad.oud on November 17th, 2022, an Arabic-sounding rework of Mareux's "Perfect Girl"3.

Russian-speaking TikTokers picked up the template through late November and early December. On December 11th, 2022, priv_6573 posted the re-animated version starring Patrick Bateman, the Madagascar penguins, and the Russian courier map2. Over its first four days the video pulled roughly 1.1 million plays and 139,200 likes3.

How to Use This Meme

Creators typically keep the four-beat structure of the priv_6573 clip: a recognizable film or TV character rides some vehicle through a strange environment, spots two animals or figures mating, glances at a map with foreign-language text, then rides off. Common swaps include Bateman for another character, penguins for camels or aliens, and Antarctica for the moon or a desert. The Arabic-flavored Mareux "Perfect Girl" audio usually stays, since it anchors the format.
