Stop it, Boner is a two-panel reaction comic from 4chan showing a man scolding his own erection while it defiantly refuses to stand down. First posted anonymously on the /a/ board in December 20102, the cropped second panel became the go-to reaction image for any online moment that arouses when it absolutely should not.

Overview

The image works as a two-character skit: the man plays the exasperated straight man, the bulge plays a deadpan gremlin that answers back in text. In the canonical cropped version, the man says 'Stop it, boner' and the erection simply replies 'no'3. The original comic was posted by an anonymous user to 4chan's /a/ (anime and manga) board on December 6th, 2010, and shows a man staring at his computer in dismay in the first panel before addressing a visible erection in the second2. On June 8th, 2011, another anonymous user on /tg/ cropped the second panel and captioned it with the now-standard exchange, 'Stop it, boner' / 'no', which is the version that spread as a reaction image3.

The artist has never been identified, and both original posts were made by anonymous 4chan users, so no confirmed creator credit exists4.
