Catnap (Poppy Playtime)

In Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3, Catnap first appears as a plush stuffed cat with purple fur and black eyes, then shifts into a towering monster with ridges and plates running along his back3. Fan creators lean into that contrast, with artwork and animations alternating between cutesy sleepy-kitten depictions and horror imagery borrowed from the game's gas-breathing boss sequences1.

Fan output often sits alongside the earlier Poppy Playtime villains Huggy Wuggy and Mommy Long Legs, with crossover fan art, origin-story animations, and parody boss-fight videos making up the bulk of Catnap content online3. Many fan clips borrow the slow-silhouette approach from the MOB Games teaser, where the character stalks the camera through fog1.

Typical Catnap posts fall into a few shapes. Fan artists often draw the character in his plush stuffed-cat state alongside the horror boss form, with the gas-breathing monster looming behind the sleepy kitten version. Animation creators commonly post short origin stories or parody boss-fight scenes set to music, often borrowing the slow-silhouette shot from the original MOB Games teaser1.
