SCP-1471
Published October 22, 2026
SCP-1471, also known as MalO, debuted on the SCP Foundation wiki in February 2013 as a creepypasta about a cursed phone app that stalks users with photos of a canid-skulled humanoid1. By the late 2010s, fans had reframed the character as a wholesome waifu in /r/DankMemesFromSite19 gag comics and in furry fan art on DeviantArt and FurAffinity3.
Overview
SCP-1471 is written as a Euclid-class anomaly tied to a freeware mobile app called MalO ver. 1.0.0, which advertises itself with the slogan about never being alone again1. Anyone who installs it starts receiving photos of SCP-1471-A, a tall humanoid with a canine skull and long black hair, first in neutral spots and later in places the user recently visited1. After roughly 90 hours, the subject begins seeing the figure in reflections and peripheral vision, and the effect is irreversible1.
Although the original entry reads as straight horror, the SCP community flipped the tone over time. Fans on /r/DankMemesFromSite19 draw MalO as a shy girlfriend-coded character and run gag strips in which other Foundation anomalies get jealous of her fan base3. A separate thread of fan output on DeviantArt and FurAffinity treats SCP-1471-A as a furry lewding subject, with Urban Dictionary entries half-joking that she is the SCP fandom's icon of furry trash4. The split between canon dread and fan softness is most of why the character keeps generating art years after the entry went up.

How to Use This Meme
Fan posts typically take one of two routes. The wholesome track draws SCP-1471-A as a bashful partner, often paired with a human researcher or with Dr. Bright, a recurring Foundation scientist character used in the DankMemesFromSite19 running joke where he flirts with the creature3. The lewd track, common on FurAffinity and DeviantArt, redraws the canid skull and black hair as a feminized furry character and posts the result to NSFW galleries or /r/SCPorn4. Both styles typically keep the skull, the hood or robe, and the long dark hair as identifying features.
