Overview

Dom Dom Yes Yes Brr Skibidi Dop Dop Dop Dop Yes Yes Yes Yes refers to the sung-nonsense chorus of "Dom Dom Yes Yes," a 2022 Bulgarian dance track by Biser King1. On TikTok, the sound became attached to Turkish creator Yasin Cengiz, whose belly-bounce dance to the beat turned him into an exploitable character on the app4.

The recognizable form of the meme shows Cengiz bopping his stomach along to the "brr skibidi dop dop" chorus, usually filmed at Turkish restaurants in Antalya next to plates of food2. Starting in mid-2022, other creators began green-screening him into CapCut templates and pairing the song with misheard-lyric speech bubbles2.

How It Spread

Cengiz's clips scaled quickly through 2022. An April 16th post drew around 84.4 million plays and 3.2 million likes2, and a May 31st collab with Turkish celebrity chef cznburak added another 53.5 million plays3. Copycat videos spread across TikTok as creators either bounced their own bellies or stuffed pillows under their shirts to match Cengiz's dance.

By August 2022, comment sections on Cengiz's videos filled with English-speaking viewers, and the sound broke into wider TikTok meme circles2. That November, a CapCut edit by user brrskibidibidop that green-screened Cengiz being launched into the moon pulled roughly 10.5 million plays in two days4.

How to Use This Meme

Videos typically pair the "brr skibidi dop dop dop dop yes yes yes yes" segment of the track with either a green-screened Cengiz clip or someone bouncing their own belly or a shirt-stuffed pillow on beat. Misheard-lyric captions in speech bubbles are a common convention2.
