Overview

Has Never Kissed Anyone Before, also called Expecting Tongue or Hasn't Kissed Anyone Ever, is a two-panel ship-dynamic drawing in which one character leans in with closed, cautious lips while a partner leans forward with an open, tongue-first mouth. Panel labels do the comedic lifting, pinning one figure as "hasn't kissed anyone ever" and the other as "expecting tongue"1. The humor hinges on the sudden gap between the two expectations about what the kiss is going to be.

Artists use the template as a redraw canvas for favorite ships, swapping the original figures for anime, game or cartoon pairings while keeping the pose and labels intact2. Common entries include Sonic and Shadow, Genshin Impact duos, Pokemon's Jessie and Delia Ketchum, and characters from Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero3 4. The format rewards tight character knowledge, since readers immediately map which half of the ship is the awkward first-timer and which is bringing full-contact enthusiasm.
