Her Body Tea, also written as Body Tea, is a slang compliment for an attractive physique that came from a July 2023 TikTok clip by @queenoppss saying, 'She get money, her body tea, she's super thick, she's super pretty.' The audio turned into a lip-dub sound on TikTok, and by early 2024 the phrase was being used on X and Instagram to caption photos of celebrities like Paul Dano and even Mrs. Potts.

Overview

Her Body Tea works in two linked ways. On TikTok, the original audio of @queenoppss saying 'She get money, her body tea, she's super thick, she's super pretty' plays over lip-dub videos where creators hype up a person, an outfit or a glow-up moment12. On X, Instagram and Reddit, 'body tea' broke off as a standalone slang phrase meaning somebody's body looks hot, usually dropped under a thirst trap or a flattering photo of a celebrity36.

Typical captions keep it short, often just 'her body tea' or 'body tea insane,' and the subject can be anyone from an influencer posing in a mirror to a cartoon teapot. The joke lands harder the more absurd the subject is, which is why posts about Paul Dano and Mrs. Potts drew bigger numbers than straight thirst-trap uses78. 'Tea' here is adjacent to older Black queer slang for truth or gossip, used as a stand-in for 'ate' or 'is serving.'

How to Use This Meme

The TikTok convention is to lip-sync the full quote while the camera pans across a person, outfit or object the creator wants to hype. Off-TikTok, the common move is to post a flattering photo and caption it with just 'body tea' or 'her body tea,' often paired with a subject chosen for comic contrast, like an older actor or an animated character.
