Lil Bro Was Born In 2024

Published October 18, 2026

'Lil Bro Was Born In 2024' is a TikTok catchphrase that overlays newborn baby clips with text listing memes and online trends older than the infant. The format took off in February 2024 after TikToker @rahgwansus coined the wording using a Don Pollo sound. By mid-2024, a 'Blud missed EVERYTHING' comment screenshot sparked a viral Instagram musical voiceover remix.

Overview

The joke sets up a Gen Alpha baby as the target of a reverse-FOMO punchline, with captions arguing that Quandale Dingle, Skibidi Toilet or Goofy Ahh audio predates the infant's birth2. A typical post opens on hospital footage or a swaddled newborn with a Don Pollo or Goofy Ahh effect scoring the clip1. Text overlays list specific pre-2024 memes the baby 'missed,' turning the newborn into a punchline about internet generational churn4.

The comment section pile-on later became as central to the joke as the video itself. On May 21st, @jodrerikhald collected top replies to a since-deleted post in a photo slideshow, with the 'Blud missed EVERYTHING' line topping the stack6. From there, the comment screenshot took on a life of its own as a reaction image outside TikTok.

How It Spread

On May 31st, @yzkxi3 posted a version that collected roughly 6 million plays within two months5.

A separate branch of the trend grew out of the comments. @jodrerikhald compiled screenshots of top replies to a since-deleted entry on May 21st, 2024, with one commenter writing 'Blud missed EVERYTHING'6. On June 18th, Instagram account @chat.musicc set the screenshot and its replies to a musical voiceover, which topped 1.1 million likes within 17 days7.
