"Peaches" is a love song that Bowser, voiced by Jack Black, performs on piano in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, confessing his obsession with Princess Peach. After the film's April 2023 release, the track went viral on YouTube and TikTok, with Lyrical Lemonade dropping an official music video days later and TikTok users layering the audio over the I Get It Now reaction meme within a week12.

Overview

The song runs just over 90 seconds in the film and features Bowser belting out increasingly dramatic declarations of love for Princess Peach while a candelabra burns on his piano. Jack Black delivers the vocals in his signature theatrical rock style, a tone that reads as both earnest and absurd, which is the exact friction that made the clip travel so well as a standalone bit2.

Online, the song mostly moves as audio. TikTok edits pair the hook with unrelated video, often someone mouthing "Peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches" with escalating intensity, or the audio overlays a reaction format where the subject stares with sudden recognition4. Animators on YouTube took a different route and built new visuals around the track, from parody retools to full engine recreations of the piano scene51.
