Overview

Run Rabbit is a song written and performed by singer Mollie Elizabeth, posting under the TikTok handle previously known as doeyedfairie1. The track picked up traction long before its full release, with a short acoustic snippet pushing fans to speculate about lyrics, meaning, and a release date for months2.

Once the song went viral, the Run Rabbit community pivoted from waiting on the full release to producing fan content around it. Edits, lyric videos, and animations set to the song started filling TikTok's For You page and YouTube, treating the chorus as a soundtrack for angsty character edits and original art pieces2.

Mollie Elizabeth first teased Run Rabbit on her TikTok account (then named doeyedfairie) on April 29th, 2026, performing a portion of the song to camera1. That single teaser clip pulled in over 9 million views across the following five months, making it the entry point for most of the song's early fans1.

She kept dripping out additional snippets on TikTok through the following weeks before dropping the finished track on May 20th, 2026, across music platforms including YouTube2. The official upload passed 8.3 million views within roughly four months of release2.

How It Spread

Run Rabbit's spread followed the standard modern pop pipeline of tease, wait, release, remix. The April 29th TikTok teaser did the heavy lifting, with viewers stitching, duetting, and begging for a full version in the comments while Elizabeth posted more fragments1. The slow drip kept the song in the TikTok algorithm for weeks before the full track existed anywhere else3.

After the May 20th, 2026 release, the full song moved from TikTok into YouTube, where Mollie Elizabeth's channel hosted the official upload that crossed 8.3 million views in roughly four months2. Fans built edits and animations around the finished track, treating the song as backing music for original character art and fandom edits rather than straight lip-syncs3.
