A screamed outburst from a 2023 Chipotle bathroom prank by TikToker @yoglo8 was sped-up and slowed down months later into a Goofy Ahh sound bite. By October 2023, the audio soundtracked Fortnite clips, Roblox jokes and photo slideshows riffing on the Offensive AI Pixar poster trend.

Overview

Ah! It's Coming Out!, also tagged as the "It's Coming Out" meme or the "Ah! It's Coming Out" Kid Screaming sound, is a TikTok audio clip of a kid howling the phrase during a staged bathroom emergency1. The viral version is not the raw prank but a Goofy Ahh edit that speeds the scream up and drags it back down, giving the voice a chipmunk-into-demon warble similar to Don Pollo edits2.

Most posts set the audio against unrelated visual gags where something gets dislodged, extracted or dumped out, so the scream reads as a reaction to whatever is on screen. Fortnite gameplay montages, Roblox bits and photo slideshows riffing on the Offensive AI Pixar and Disney poster trend account for the biggest hits on the sound35. The joke works because the audio is literal nonsense yanked out of context, and creators lean into that by pairing it with footage as absurd as the delivery.

On April 1st, 2023, TikToker @yoglo8 posted "Screaming in bathroom prank!," a clip of him walking into a Chipotle and yelling "Ah! It's coming out!" as if he were about to have an accident1. Over about six months the original video gathered roughly 10.5 million plays and 1.3 million likes, according to Know Your Meme4.

The sound existed on TikTok from April 2023 but did not take off in its raw form9. The meme really started on September 27th, 2023, when TikToker @jasiah43 posted a sped-up and slowed-down Goofy Ahh edit of the clip that reached roughly 3.8 million plays and 530,100 likes in three weeks2.

How It Spread

After @jasiah43's remix circulated, a second wave of edits propelled the audio past the original. On September 28th, 2023, TikToker @downbad.deku layered the remixed scream over Fortnite gameplay, logging about 1.1 million plays and 90,600 likes in three weeks3. The variant sound posted to that video, titled "unfortunately it was coming out," became the most-used version of the meme going into October 20234.

A day later, on September 29th, @c_marquez_ attached the audio to a Roblox joke that drew roughly 4.5 million plays and 455,800 likes in 19 days5. Photo slideshows picked up the same track, like @_grayalaska's September 30th post that reached about 424,400 plays and 65,200 likes7. By October 10th, @venom_snake03 scored around 3.5 million plays and 526,000 likes with a clip of a giant log being hauled out of a trailer, matching the audio to a literal object coming out6.

By October 19th, 2023, the "unfortunately it was coming out" sound had amassed over 25,100 posts on TikTok4. The highest-charting entry on the sound by that point was an @ghosty.opp slideshow referencing the Offensive AI Pixar and Disney movie posters, which reached roughly 4.9 million plays and 583,200 likes in nine days8.
