Hissu Amoto San

2007MAD remix videoclassic

Published October 15, 2026

Hissu Amoto San / Airmoto, also written 必須アモト酸, is a Nico Nico Douga tag for Japanese MAD parodies mocking actress Masami Hisamoto's televised praise of the Buddhist group Sōka Gakkai International6. A November 2007 remix set her 'PARN!' hand gesture to the Kirby's Gourmet Race theme and sparked thousands of follow-ups, including a January 2008 Falcon Punch crossover that briefly reached Western YouTube before copyright takedowns5.

Overview

Most Hissu Amoto San MADs loop the moment Hisamoto reacts to Sōka Gakkai leader Daisaku Ikeda praising her television performances, when she slaps her hands to her face and yells 'PAN!' or 'PARN!' at full volume2. Editors sync that gesture to upbeat video game music, with Kirby's Gourmet Race acting as the signature backing track, and splice in misheard Japanese lines from Ikeda and other SGI figures to build gag choruses3. The humor comes from clashing the earnest religious tone of the original SGI promo 'My Beautiful Life' against cartoon pacing and chiptune beats2.

'Airmoto' fuses 'Air' with 'Hisamoto', riffing on how her flailing hands look like someone playing an air guitar3. Common offshoots include RED_ZONE mashups, Nuclear Fusion remixes and Bloomin' X cuts, each anchored by the 'PARN!' hit as a rhythmic accent1.

In the SGI promotional interview 'My Beautiful Life' (すばらしき わが人生), Masami Hisamoto gives an emotional account of Daisaku Ikeda praising her TV work and, overcome with joy, slaps her hands to her face while exclaiming 'PAN!'2. On November 30, 2007, an anonymous Nico Nico Douga user uploaded a MAD titled '久本雅美の頭がカービィのBGMに合わせて爆発したようです' ('Masami Hisamoto's head seems to have exploded in time with Kirby's BGM'), timing the gesture to Kirby's Gourmet Race1. That clip became the seed of Hissu Amoto San and of the Kirby's Gourmet Race Remixes series on NND3.

How It Spread

Early parodies carried the tag 'hisamoto-san' (久本さん) until Sōka Gakkai's subsidiary Shiano Art filed copyright strikes to remove them from Nico Nico Douga4. Uploaders responded by coining 必須アモト酸 (phonetically 'Hissu Amoto San') and the 'Airmoto' variant to dodge the takedowns, and the tag swelled past 5,000 videos, with the most-watched passing 600,000 views3. A spin-off titled 'Falcon☆Parn (イ゛ェアアアアアMIX),' uploaded January 25, 2008, mashed Hissu Amoto San with Captain Falcon's 'Falcon Punch' by rhyming 'Punch' with 'Parn'5. Because Shiano Art kept English-language mirrors scrubbed, many Western viewers mistook that spin-off for a straight Kirby or Falcon Punch remix8.

Hisamoto-themed MADs also triggered the RED_ZONE, Bloomin' X and Nuclear Fusion remix series on Nico Nico Douga, and NND user Jinsei Saikou ported Hisamoto and co-star Fusako into the fighting game engine M.U.G.E.N4. The original November 2007 upload was taken down and later reposted on July 5, 2008 and again on May 10, 2009 under the same title to keep the trigger clip in circulation1.

How to Use This Meme

Clip the 'PAN!/PARN!' hand-slap from the 'My Beautiful Life' interview and cut it in time with video game music, typically Kirby's Gourmet Race, then layer misheard Japanese dialogue from Ikeda or other SGI figures as a looping chant. Common conventions include a drum-hit sync on the 'PARN!' beat, a Falcon Punch style text card, and a camouflage title in place of the original 久本さん tag.
