Rage Guy is a crudely drawn screaming character born on 4chan's /b/ board in 2008 inside a four-panel MS Paint comic about the 'toilet splashback' problem. His long red 'FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU-' caption gave the internet its first shared vocabulary for petty frustration and kicked off the entire Rage Comics genre.

Overview

The format sticks to a rigid four-panel structure. The first three panels set up a mundane annoyance like a stuck jar, a slow computer, or a rude roommate, and the fourth panel drops in the Rage Guy face with the long red 'FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU-' caption running down the right side3.
