Today I'm Gonna Turn Into A Cute Little X

The bit works on a simple visual gag: the creator squats lower and lower in frame while a caption builds word by word, usually "Today I'm gonna turn into a cute little" plus whatever subject they picked. Once they're basically flat on the floor, a hard cut swaps them for the thing itself, a cat, a bird, a squashed cheese ball, a man, whatever the punchline demands1. The audio doing the heavy lifting is "I'm Going To Be a Squashed Cheese Ball Today" by HappyPizzaBread, which most participants use straight rather than remixing2.

Tone-wise the trend leans wholesome and absurd rather than ironic. The comedy comes from the specificity of the "cute little" object and how ridiculous the physical crouch looks before the cut lands. By mid-August 2026 animators were also stepping in with drawn versions where the transformation actually plays out on screen instead of relying on a jump cut3.

To make one, film yourself standing in frame, then crouch down in stages as the on-screen text types out "Today I'm gonna turn into a cute little [subject]" piece by piece. When you're at your lowest crouch, cut directly to a shot of the subject itself, typically a pet, an object, or a joke swap. The song is almost always HappyPizzaBread's "I'm Going To Be a Squashed Cheese Ball Today," and the punchline usually lands better when the "cute little" thing is unexpected or oddly specific2.
