Skyler White's "Please Just Hear Me Out" samples Anna Gunn's desperate plea from the 2011 Breaking Bad episode "Crawl Space," where Skyler begs a dirt-covered Walter to understand why she gave away his money. Fans started chopping up the clip in early 2022, interrupting her sobs with stock fart noises and Steam chimes. By late June 2022, TikTokers were slapping the audio over Fall Guys fails and Discord face reveal roasts.

Overview

Edits of Skyler White's "Please Just Hear Me Out" chop Anna Gunn's teary dialogue into tiny pieces, then shove something absurd into each pause. The signature version replaces the gaps between "please," "please," and "just hear me out" with wet fart sounds, Steam message chimes, or other stock audio clips, which flips a wrenching marital collapse into a punchline about trying and failing to apologize45.

When creators pair the audio with gameplay or image slideshows, the gag reads as a stand-in for pathetic groveling. A clumsy Fall Guys wipeout gets scored to Skyler's begging, so the player appears to be pleading with the game itself6. Discord face reveal slideshows play the audio over strangers' selfies, framing the whole post as mortified apology for showing up at all8.

The audio works because the original scene is one of Breaking Bad's bleakest, and listeners who know the show still hear Skyler's trembling cadence under the fart sounds. That tonal gap, from devastating crawl space confession to toilet humor, is the whole bit5.

The source clip comes from "Crawl Space," the eleventh episode of Breaking Bad's fourth season, which aired on AMC on September 25, 20111. In the scene, Skyler White, played by Anna Gunn, kneels over her husband and repeats "please, please just hear me out, please" after confessing she gave hundreds of thousands of dollars in cartel money to her former boss Ted Beneke. A clean cut of the moment was uploaded to the YouTube channel Walt White on July 5, 2017, and became the audio reservoir later remix creators drew from2.

The earliest documented remix came from YouTuber Sir Merpington, who on January 17, 2022, swapped Walter's agonized scream for a different punchline audio3. Two months later, on March 19, 2022, TikToker @startup.mp4 published the format that defined the sound online, cutting Skyler's lines with a stock fart effect, a Steam notification ding, and an older voice clip from TikToker @official_slv_soundss dated February 5, 202145.

How It Spread

After @startup.mp4's compilation seeded the audio on TikTok in March 2022, the sound traveled through gaming fail videos first. On June 27, 2022, TikToker @blueberry_floofer scored a Fall Guys loss to the clip, and the post pulled in over 1.6 million views and 200,000 likes within a month, with commenters piling on about it being a skill issue6. Two days later, @ninjakid.au ran the same joke on another Fall Guys wipeout and reached roughly 4.8 million views and more than 600,000 likes7.

The audio then shifted toward slideshow bullying content. On July 5, 2022, @shawtyhater uploaded a slideshow titled "DISCORD FACE REVEALS 😭😭😭," grabbing screenshots from the "irl" channel of a Raise A Floppa Discord server; the post reached about 8.8 million plays and 1.2 million likes8. The same day, @rweapersxd posted another Discord selfie compilation using the sound, which drew over 2 million plays, and both uploads attracted criticism from TikTok users who called the format cyberbullying9.

Know Your Meme catalogued the audio as "Please Just-💨" / "Please Just (Fart)" during this spread, noting the pattern of pairing Skyler's dialogue with photos, gameplay, and crude sound effects5.
